The inspiration for this piece was from an actual encounter while staying at Camp Sorenson, below Lake Tahoe. This female bear was seen multiple times usually with one cub. We'd been flying fishing at this spot the day before. I loved the scenery and wanted to catch it and the moment once we returned to our home in CT
