Monsters can be Mothers too

This painting was an exploration into, personally, new ways to create fine art. For this piece, I created a collage using national geographic magazines. Mythology has always been a huge inspiration throughout my life, so it was only natural to create a sort of chimera-esque creature. Though instead of showcasing the ferocity of the beast, this work looks to depict a more natural and gentle side which can be seen with an almost maternal lens. The collage medium is fully on display as well given that there are different styles ranging from graphic to realism to painterly within the work.
