Brownville Elevator

Pastel on sanded paper. This abandoned grain elevator, located on a bluff over the Missouri River at Brownville, Nebraska, looms over the riverside walking trail. The conveyor that transported the grain to barges at the landing makes a dramatic statement. I did several studies, then scaled it up.
