During a cruise to Cabo San Lucas, I was captivated by the morning light on these coastal cliffs. When I returned to my studio I knew I HAD to paint this landscape. I chose to isolate a single paddleboarder in the image in order to show the grand scale of those stunning rocky cliffs. I painted this on a panel prepped with watercolor ground, giving it some wonderful brushy texture. This is probably my favorite painting that I've done (so far!)
