Inspiration for MORNING ON THE FOURTH DAY was found a bit past sunrise, on the beautiful South Shore of Lake Superior. It was painted on the first morning of my second Plein Air Event experience. I’ve found nothing quite like the experience of spending an entire day in nature, immersing all five senses at full tilt. Truly, the beginning of a perfect day….
This piece is the third pastel I’ve painted on bonded velour, a substrate of velvety magic.
