HONEYMOON HEAT
HONEYMOON HEAT is an oil painting memory, created at my husband’s request, commemorating our anniversary. The car was cool, but without air. The South Dakota highway was 105 degrees and corn obstructed view on both sides of two lanes. A cooler full of ice cooled towels til the ice melted. On a high point, the groom spotted a pond, and off they went, down the winding tote road to the swimming hole. Didn’t look too foreboding til the cows ‘came home’. The bride realized that the heat wasn’t as bad as she thought.
