This is a studio painting on linen of the fantastic rock formations along the California coast between Carmel and Big Sur. I have painted at this location in plein air many times. The view is northwest on the coast from the northern edge of one of the two largest bridges on Highway One. This one is the Rocky Creek Bridge.
