This painting is part of a series titled “Common Ground”. The purpose of the series is to examine aspects of various landscapes that are universal or could apply to any location. The setting here is a Sagebrush covered hill that is situated along an Interstate near my home. It’s a view that thousands of drivers pass each day, but I always enjoy the sense of openness and expansiveness that I feel when passing through here.
