Boone Hall is a beautiful plantation near Charleston, SC. As I was touring the grounds last spring, their gardens were in full bloom. I was particularly drawn the the contrast that the shadows created as they fell across the blossoms, creating variations even among flowers of the same color. I completed this using oils on a linen panel.
